Life has its ups and downs and one need to adjust himself/herself to different features life Potrays in different situations and seasons. There are many aspects of life that man has to be equipped with to have a chance to live in this dot com generation. I may talk of all round discipline, obedience, hospitality etc. Anyway don't get nervous with my theory. Let me not rush you.
Home is where life starts and as the sages puts it, charity begins at home. I have to adjust my behaviour to fit the life that was set up by my parents. I mean I cannot do the opposite of their cultural practices and the rest. At the age of 20, imagine I can wash utensils, mop, cook and do some minor chores while my younger sisters and brothers don't participate fully.
Sometimes I rebel, because I feel like a grown up besides that my fellow age mates do not do such chores. However, rebellion has earned me untold suffering because my father is very aggressive, being a heavy set built and ex-boxer, he condones no non-sense. He once worked on my behind ruthlessly until all the undesired qualities were eliminated from me. From then I can do any chore at home however minor it may be.
I have been able to cultivate good relationship with my Parents and siblings. In the mornings before I go to School, I wake up and mop the floor, prepare breakfast and the get myself ready to go to School. I do it on daily basis and for your information I love it.
My friends and classmates may jeopardize me for carrying on like a maid. I normally fire them by saying that I am an activist who is advocating for equality and long gone are the days when house chores were dominated by females. Despite having three sisters who can handle there chore effectively, my parents haven'' given me retirement. Perhaps I may be relieved when I get my own house. I eagerly wait believe me.
At School the environment smells academic rules and regulations marks the order of the day. Orders are given and followed without hospitality. I normally try my level best to get away from trouble. Academically, I have to work hard to achieve the best. In School I meet different people with different lifestyles. Students with good manners are constantly admired by their teachers. Those who are notorious always we squabbles with the School's administration. I got a concept that if one is well modeled by his parents at home, he won't have problems in the society. At School I was honoured to be given a prefect because my character is good. As a prefect I try very much to be a role model to others as far as academic and discipline is concerned. I receive credits one after the other for being one of the best students in the school. I only achieve these by working hard.
As the wise puts it an industrious spider gets a large web so am I. Even though School life is difficult especially on academics I'II not lose hope or fail. For failure doesn't exist in my dictionary. As French statesman Napoleon once said that impossibility only belongs to fools. Gosh! Iam not a fool mark you. Anyway time will tell.
Despite spending a lot of time at School and home I still participate in community cycles for example by helping my neighbours and relatives. When a neighbour has a task which requires the effort of other people to join hands, without hesitation I participate fully. This has earned me a good name. A good name is more precious than expensive germs once said a philosopher. Iam committed to do my best in future to my community. Anyway for now my pen is running out of ink and that forces me to halt.
